Family-friendly policies, supervisor support and job satisfaction: mediating effect of work-family conflict

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect perceived support from family-friendly policies and supervisors on job satisfaction employees by incorporating work-family conflict as a mediator. Design/methodology/approach Primary data were collected 369 working in different organizations service sector India. Smart PLS software was used perform partial least square structural equational modeling. Findings result confirms that both supervisor negatively influences conflict. Also, partially mediates between well satisfaction. directly employees. Research limitations/implications Management needs know relevance work-life increase reduce employees’ Results will be useful for implementing designing training courses supervisors. This make workplace more family-friendly. Originality/value study creates value meeting their family obligations reducing Organizations are benefited attracting positive outcomes like satisfied employees, which will, turn, lead productive happier workforce. Studies examining influence these supervisory with mediating variable difficult find Indian context.
